Types of Braces

Trü Orthodontics offers several types of braces to straighten your smile. When you meet with our orthodontists, we will review each of the options available and discuss them with you so that you can choose the treatment option that is best for you. The types of braces available at our office include:

Metal Braces

Traditional metal braces are the most common orthodontic treatment. They are made of high-grade stainless steel and apply gentle pressure to gradually correct the position of your teeth.

Ceramic (Clear) Braces

Ceramic braces are made using tooth-colored materials so that they blend in more with your natural teeth. They are popular among adults and teenagers looking for more discreet treatment, and they work the same way that traditional braces do.

Clear Aligners

Clear aligners use custom-made plastic trays to straighten your teeth. They are nearly invisible once placed and are a popular and effective treatment for adults and teenagers alike.

Lingual Braces

Lingual braces are placed on the back surfaces of the teeth. They work the same way that regular braces do but are nearly invisible once placed in the mouth.

Self-Ligating Braces

Using a small spring-loaded door, self-ligating braces keep consistent pressure on the arch wires, thus removing the need for tightening or bands. Self-ligating braces gently adjust your teeth over time to move them where they need to go. This allows for quicker, more comfortable and less conspicuous experience during treatment.
